On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, we held the first of four Budget Study Forum sessions. I'd like to sincerely thank everyone who participated. Ron Calloway did an outstanding job distilling the key components of our budget, and we had a wonderfully balanced representation of teachers, classified staff, district personnel, and parents—your contributions and engagement are truly appreciated!
As I shared with session participants, while school finance isn’t "rocket science," it is also neither intuitive, straightforward, nor inherently equitable.
