• Welome to the Technology Lab

SchoolCenter PictureThe district's comprehensive technology plan includes a specific emphasis on supporting reading instruction, including the use of Accelerated Reader in grades 1-6, and the Follett library system in both school libraries. While technology cannot replace a skilled teacher, the effective use of well-designed technology-based supports can provide additional resources for students, especially those potentially at-risk for reading failure. Currently, the district uses technology to: match student reading levels and text difficulty for supplemental reading using Accelerated Reader; provide assessments to monitor student progress; provide additional differentiated practice in skills, strategies, etc.; provide access to informational and research sources/websites for teacher and students; and enhance communication and promote the sharing of data, problem -solving, etc. among district professionals and parents.

Fourth through sixth grade classes visit the computer lab weekly. The curriculum involves appropriate training so that students learn to use technology as a tool for research, writing, assessment, academic skills development and practice, communication, etc. Our "K to the 8 th" program teaches state technology standards within the other areas of the curriculum. All students have access to computer technology and filtered Internet from each classroom, library, and computer lab.  Strawberry has virtual field trip and video conferencing capability as well as wireless internet.

  • Welcome to the Strawberry Technology Lab!

We here at Strawberry Elementary School work to provide your child with the best education one has to offer. In doing so, we have created a state of the art computer lab consisting of 30 workstations, digital camera and camcorder checkouts, and color printing & scanning. In addition, every classroom has 3 networked computers in which students can perform research, type up reports, and create presentations and graphs. Along with providing each grade level with a projector they can checkout to enhance visual learning for your students, we also provide HD filming of select major events on campus.
