Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Tiffany Gittins

My husband and I both grew up in Santa Rosa and feel lucky to have raised our daughters here too. Our oldest is on the teacher track at SSU, and our youngest is studying art at UCSC - leaving my husband and I empty nesters for the first time in 23 years!
Before I earned my credential in 2020, I spent seventeen years volunteering with Girl Scouts, where I developed and led Outdoor Education and Maker Curriculum for scouts ages 5-18. In my free time, I like to go hiking with my husband, build metal sculptures in my workshop, and read lots and lots of books.
I first worked at Strawberry as a long-term substitute for a 5th-grade class last fall. I am thrilled to be back working with the fabulous 5th Grade Team again! There is something endearing about 5th graders. They are still young enough to be excited about the wonders of the world while at the same time being old enough to share some thoughtful insight about what they encounter.
I am looking forward to getting to know my students and excited for the adventures this year will bring!
