I have been teaching since 2010, after graduating from CSU Long Beach with a double major in Liberal Studies and Spanish Linguistics, as well as my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with an emphasis on Mathematics. I began my career teaching 3 years of preschool before moving into elementary. I had the unique opportunity to help plan and design the opening of a brand new campus for the Moreland School District in San Jose, where I taught TK and 2nd grade.
My husband, Alex, and I recently moved to Santa Rosa to be closer to both of our families and to get away from the insanity of the South Bay. I love animals; we have a terrier, Penny, two cats, Adelaide and Sophie, five chickens, and a handful of stick insects (they live in the classroom!). One day, I dream of having a mini farm and getting a couple of goats to add to the menagerie. When I’m not working, I love being outdoors- hiking, gardening, camping, hanging out on the patio. I also spend a lot of my time crafting and designing projects around the house.
In the classroom, I love to foster independence and promote diversity and creativity. It’s the most amazing thing to watch little minds grow, and I am so excited to work with your children this year!
