Q & A about 3rd Grade

  • What does my child need to bring to school?

    Posted by:

In third grade, students will bring their homework folder and a book back and forth to school each day.  They do not need a binder or other items.  A supply list is posted on the district website.  If it presents a hardship to obtain any of the supplies, let your child's teacher know and they will be provided for you.

  • Where should my child go before school?

Students should drop their backpacks off at their classroom and then head to the playground.  Please remember students may not be on campus before 8am as there is no supervision.

  • Where should I pick up my child after school?

    Posted by:

Students should be picked up from the car pick up circle, or at the wooden benches outside of K2. There is teacher supervision at both these locations.  Please do not arrange to pick your child up at any other location were they will be unsupervised.

  • What is assigned for homework in 3rd grade?

    Posted by:

Third graders are asked to work on their Eureka Math homework for 10 minutes ONLY.  They should also read a book (AR book recommended) for 20 minutes.  There is no spelling homework, or lists to study, as we use an in class spelling program.
