I grew up in San Rafael with my parents, one sister, and three brothers. Sonoma County has been my home since graduating from Sonoma State University in 1978. I began my teaching career teaching 4th-5th grades for 17 years in a private school in Marin. In 1996, I started working at Yulupa and have been teaching 2nd grade here since then.
I am a parent, as well as a teacher. My two grown sons continue to teach me about parenting. The oldest, Mark, lives and works in LA for a real estate investment company. Eric, the younger, is a submariner in the US Navy and is stationed at Pearl Harbor.
In my free time, I love writing poetry, photography, gardening, reading, hiking, and spending time in nature.
Laughter with my friends, colleagues, students, and family truly is the best medicine.
