Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Jami Grafe
I am always excited to start a new school year! I have been teaching since 2000. I’m fortunate to have had the opportunity to teach pre-school through sixth grade. For the past 10 years, I have been teaching Special Education in the Bennett Valley District. I attended Chico State University where I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies. Then I went to Sonoma State University for both my Multi-Subject Credential and Educational Specialist Credential.
When I am not teaching, I am busy with my own children Katie (14,) Will (12), and Owen (9) who all went to Yulupa School! This year Katie started Montgomery, Will started Slater, and Owen is at Strawberry. All three are members of multiple sports teams and keep my husband and I extremely busy. During the summer, we love spending time together as a family boating at our lake house.
I am very passionate about teaching struggling learners. The Learning Center at Yulupa is a unique place where students get a lot of individualized instruction and practice. It is amazing to see the changes that happen when students are in the right learning environment. I love the challenge of teaching students with learning disabilities.
