Hi! My name is Sarah Schalich, I was born and raised in Santa Rosa.  I graduated from Santa Rosa High School I then attended CSU, Chico.  I graduated with my BA in Liberal Studies, I then attended the credential program at CSU, Chico where I received my teaching credential.  Directly after graduating, I got offered a teaching position in Sebastopol as a Kindergarten teacher at Gravenstein Elementary School.  I taught Kindergarten at Gravenstein for 4 years, during my fourth year I got pregnant with my eldest daughter.  I took a few years off from teaching to raise both my daughters.  During this time I taught preschool and subbed at a few elementary schools.  I came back into teaching in fall 2017 with Rincon Valley Union School District.  I worked as an intervention teacher during the 2017-2018 school year and the following year I taught 2nd grade.  I came to Yulupa to teach Kindergarten in the fall of 2019, I couldn’t be happier being back with the littles where I first started as a first-year teacher!  I am so appreciative to be a part of such a wonderful staff!  

I currently live in Santa Rosa with both my daughters, I enjoy spending time with them, being active, hiking, cooking, gardening, being crafty, traveling, and being with friends and family.  

I firmly believe that providing a warm safe caring environment for my students is pertinent to their success in life.
