• Welcome to the Yulupa Library

SchoolCenter PictureThe Yulupa School Multi-Media Learning Center (MMLC), also referred to as the Library, contains a collection of over 18,000 items including books, magazines, videos, CDs, models, and other multi-media teaching materials. The collection covers the curriculum as appropriate for the grade levels served at the school. The library collection catalog is fully automated and can be accessed via the Internet and from every computer in the district and outside the district. There are six student computer terminals in the library that offer the automated card catalog, Internet access, and word-processing capabilities.  Each class has a weekly session in the library. The library program consists of reading stories related to the curriculum or featured authors, library skills lessons, book awards, diversity, and discussion of holiday celebrations and seasonal events, such as African-American History Month, The Great Kindness Challenge Week, Women's History Month, Poetry Month, Earth Day, Endangered Animals Day, etc.  Every year, the students participate in the California Young Reader Medal voting.
